We are going to embellish this Christmas Tree die cut using blending chalks! First we will need a Christmas tree die cut. The one I am using is from the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. It measures 3inches tall, and can be found in my store. I use Inkadinkadoo soft pallet of blending chalks and Q-tips as applicators.
To get the chalk on the applicator, rub the applicator over the green chalk in a circular motion until there is enough chalk on the applicator. When I am applying the chalk to the die cut, I always start lightly. It is easier to add more later, if you want a darker accent. If you add too much, you will have to erase and start over. So, start lightly. Lightly run the loaded chalk applicator over the edges od the Christmas tree. I just chalked the layers, so the layers have dimension. I put chalk over the detail cuts in the Christmas tree. Then I also added brown to the tree stump. The finished product is below. Chalking is just a simple and easy way make a plain die cut not so plain.
Now this Cristmas tree is ready for a gold star on top and ornaments. For the ornaments I plan on using round mini brads and glitter glue.
