On Your Wedding Day Card

This card was made using a stamp sets from Stamptivity Stamps called "The Wedding Dress" and the phrase stamp is from the set "Wedding and Stationery Text". There are three layers of cardstock in the background. The light cream layer and the deep brown layer are embossed with cuttlebug embossing folders and then inked. There is a zig zag stitch down the seam where the layers come together. The wedding dress stamp and phrase stamp are both done in brown dye ink on white cardstock and then cut out. The ribbons are attached with staples. Full instructions are below.

Supplies used:
Sewing machine with White or cream thread
2 Embossing Folders
Brown Ink
The Wedding Dress Stamp Set
Wedding and Stationery Text Stamp Set
White and brown ribbon
Cream cardstock
Light brown cardstock
Medium brown cardstock
Stapler
Decorative scissors

Instructions:
1.Cut a light brown sheet of 8.5X11 inch card stock in half so that each piece measures 5.5X8.5. This is going to be your card. Fold in half.
2.Cut the cream sheet of cardstock to measure 3.5X5.5inches. Cut the medium brown cardstock to measure 2.5X5.5inches.
3.Emboss the cream cardstock and medium brown cardstock with different embossing folders and rub with brown ink so that the raised pattern is colored with ink. An alternative embossing method is heat embossing using background stamps and brown embossing powder.
4.Center and attach the cream cardstock to the card base. Attach the medium brown cardstock in the center of the cream piece.
5.Stitch along each of the edges of cream cardstock and medium cardstock. The stitch used here is a zig zag stitch.
6.Stamp The wedding dress stamp and the “On your wedding day stamp onto white cardstock with brown ink. Color the wedding dress image if desired. Trim closely around the dress image.
7.Using decorative scissors, trim around the words so that there is a decorative rectangle around the title.
8.Staple small pieces of white and brown ribbon to each side of the title.
9.Attach the stamped image and titles to the card.
