I Fancy You Card

Here is another simple card I had lined up for Love Bandit week. I still have some more cards to put into this coming week, although I will be revealing a new stamp set of the week TOMORROW!

The raccoon and tree are both stamped onto matching cardstocks and then trimmed out! It was a labor of love, but I really like the effect on the card.

I Hear Wedding Bells!!!

As you know, Johnny and I have somewhat "set the date" for our future wedding and magically I ran across Emily's new blog called Weddings with the Cricut -since my wedding and reception are going to be totally DIY, you know I clicked the link!!!!!

Well, lucky for me she was having a design team call so I jumped at the chance to be a part of the blog and even luckier for me, SHE ACCEPTED ME on her design team!!!!!

I am SOOOOOOOO ecstatic to be able to put all my wedding ideas into action and help inspire others who are going to be DIY for their weddings! Come on over and check out the new site! It is going to be awesome!

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

I created this layout for Your Memories Here using some great little Prima flowers.

My layout today was made mostly with the help of my Cricut Expression. I used the new Mother's Day cartridge for the orange flowers and journaling shape. Then I used the Accent Essentials cartridge to cut out all the circle shapes. DON'T FORGET, YMH has the mini cartridges on sale through Feb 2nd!!!

One of the cool features on the Cricut Expression and Cricut Create is the Center Point feature. With this feature, I cut my photo into a circle!!

To use the Center Point feature:
Load your mat with paper/photo
Press Center Point so it is lit up
Press the buttons to get the shape you want and adjust the size as needed
Move your blade to the center of where you want to cut (for my photo, I lined up the blade right at Emma's cute little nose!)
Press Cut

Wherever you had the blade set before you hit Cut will now be the center of your die cut shape!!

  • The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye.
  • Alphas are Fabric Thickers

FLU Break

As you have probably noticed. I didn't post yesterday for the first time in nearly a year. . . well that is because I caught the big bad flu (and I am coming to you live from my bed on my laptop that my mom had to bring to me, yeah, I know, this thing is sure kicking my butt.) On Monday when I thought I had a killer migraine. . . well that was only the beginning!

So because of this flu, I am going to be taking it easy on the blogging for the next week or so. I have my projects done already for this week and next but I just don't have the energy to get it all ready for posting. So, I didn't want to leave y'all hanging so I wanted to tell ya what was going on. I am going to get some projects posted, but the details won't get posted for a while. My fingers (like the rest of my body) are exhausted already.

And if you happen to email me, you won't hear back from me for a while.

This is the cover to an album I am making for my puppy Emma. I used Stampin' UP's digital scrapbooking program called My Digital Studio to make it and it was so easy and fun to make.

Sunflower Seed Card

Happy Saturday everyone!! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. My mom and I did a little shopping today. We went to get some fabric (more details on this to come) for some upcoming projects I have planned. Then we went and FINALLY got the 4th Twilight Book, Breaking Dawn. I have been dieing to read it ever since I finished the third book, but just never went to pick it up. So now, I have to work on getting ahead on my class readings so I can squeeze in time for Twilight! YAY. HA HA HA

So this project is actually my project I had planned for yesterday, but I HAD to tell you about Crafty Storage blog so I delayed this project for today. This card was designed as part of my Something Sweet week!

Overnight tonight, I am going to get a video uploaded on how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig so you can see it in action. The Stamp-a-ma-jig is a MUST HAVE tool for stampers and I am so surprised how many people don't know about this awesome tool. It will change your stamping life completely!!

So here is my cute little sunflower card for ya :O) Remember, it is Sale-a-bration right now so for every $50 you spend with Stampin' UP, you get a free SAB item!!

  • All the stamps I used for this card are from the Stampin' UP Something Sweet stamp set. This stamp set is designed to coordinate with the Sweet Treat Cups. For this card, I filled the cup with sunflower seeds.
  • For the flower I used Crushed Curry Classic ink for the flower petals and Old Olive Classic ink for the little leaves. The stalk of the flower is a strip of Garden Green cardstock.
  • To make the grass I just cut a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock down to size and then used my scissors to cut the little blades of grass.
  • The background of the card is Bashful Blue cardstock and the border is YoYo Yellow cardstock.

Fishbowl Happy Card

Hey gals! Sorry I am late today! I was baking cupcakes this afternoon and time got away from me. It was lots of fun and I managed to cream Johnny with a cupcake, RIGHT IN THE FACE ha ha ha, so it was extra fun because of that!! (He then proceeded to rub icing on my forehead, that part wasn't quite as funny!)

For my project today, I created another card for Something Sweet week. I made a little fish bowl using the circle shaped stamp in the Stampin' UP Something Sweet stamp set. Then I stamped the little fish inside it. Isn't he cute?!

  • The border across the bottom of the Bashful Blue cardstock is the Stampin' UP Scallop Trim border punch. You can earn this stamp set FREE with a $50 purchase now during Sale-a-bration!!
  • Fish, sentiment, and circle are all from the Something Sweet stamp set.
  • I used my Bashful Blue marker with an aqua painter to paint the water inside the fishbowl. In order to get the ink, I colored a bit with my Bashful Blue on my clear sheet included with the Stamp-a-ma-jig and just picked up some of the ink onto the tip of my aqua painter.
  • The So Saffron cardstock was embossed using a Texturz plate and my Big Shot machine.
  • The ribbon is Apricot Appeal 1/4inch grosgrain.

Baby Rattle Candy Cards

Happy Wednesday!!

Today I have two projects to share with you for my Something Sweet week. Something Sweet is one of the cutest stamp sets because it coordinates with the Sweet Treat Cups so you can put CANDY on your cards!! I am just in love with the cute little accessories in this stamp set.

I used the Baby Rattle stamp to make the cards for today and I decided to make a girl one and a boy one.

For the girl card, I went with a pink and yellow theme.
  • The card base is Chocolate Chip cardstock.
  • Patterned paper is from DCWV. I don't know which paper stack it is from.
  • On the patterned paper, I used the corner rounder punch on all the corners.
  • To get my Sweet Treat Cup on the card, I punched a circle into the patterned paper with the 1 and 3/4inch circle punch then slid in the Sweet Treats cup and attached it to the cardstock base.
  • The baby rattle was stamped from the Something Sweet stamp set using Crushed Curry Classic ink on Whisper White cardstock.
  • The ribbon is apricot appeal 1/4inch grosgrain ribbon.
  • The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic ink.

For the boy themed card, I used Bashful Blue and Soft Suede as my color combo.

Here's a layout inspired by a January Sketch over at Scrapsketch.com. For this layout I was using up the patterned paper and buttons. The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye but I forget which pack it is from. Buttons are misc. From my stash. I was also doing my best to use up some of my Thickers stash as well.

Gumball Card

Happy Monday!! I spent the morning with my dear friend and we had a BLAST!! We rocked out to Black Eyed Peas while card making :O)

Here is my first card for my Something Sweet week! I used this week's color combo at SPCC. Be sure to stop by SPCC and play along this week!

For my card today, I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the red cardstock called D'vine Swirls (click on the name to see the selection of Cuttlebug folders from Your Memories Here!). Embossing folders really just add something extra special to any card.

If you haven't yet tried them, I suggest you check out YMH and get one of them ASAP!
Isn't that gumball machine the best?!?!
  • The gumball machine, sentiment, and candies are all stamps from the Stampin' UP Something Sweet stamp set. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig while stamping for perfect placement.
  • For cardstock, I used Apricot Appeal, Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Whisper White.
  • The ribbon is retired from last year's Sale-a-bration. I earned it FREE with a $50 Stampin' UP purchase. This year, the Sale-a-bration items are even better!! You can click on my Order Now button at the bottom of this post to place an order with me anytime 24/7.
