Happy Birthday Sleek and Classy Card

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Vintage Labels week. I chose the Vintage Labels stamp set for the Stamp Set of the Week because it is such an elegant set. This week, I am going to be sharing projects using the Stampin' UP Vintage Labels stamp set. This set is ONLY available with a $50 Stampin' UP purchase during Sale-a-bration. It is a gorgeous stamp set that everyone should have!

For today's project, I made a simple elegant birthday card. I gave this card to my mom for her birthday this past week.

  • The label and sentiment are from the Stampin' UP Vintage Labels stamp set. I stamped the label with Summer Sun classic ink onto Whisper White cardstock and then punched out the label with the Scallop Circle punch. I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment in the center of the label.
  • The base of my card is Kraft cardstock. Stampin' UP has a gorgeous and thick Kraft cardstock. I used the Corner Rounder Punch for the edges.
  • The patterned paper is from the Stampin' UP Sweet Pea designer paper pack. I again, used the Corner Rounder punch.
  • Finally, I added a strip of Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon to the card. I still have some spots in my Satin Ribbon share. Click here for details!

My project for you today is very Springy:
BoldMy card features a doily and grass both cut from the Cricut Easter cartridge, which is available for purchase at Your Memories Here. I used a sentiment from Stampin' UP's Well Scripted stamp set. The chocolate bunny is also a Stampin' UP stamp called Chocolate Bunny (it is a single stamp).
The pillow box itself is a shape on the Cricut Easter cartridge. I simply decorated my cardstock with the Stampin' UP Dot Dot Dot stamp and then tied some Bashful Blue Satin Ribbon around the pillow box. Finally, I filled it with some Cadbury mini Creme Eggs for my fiance :O)

Hey everyone!

This is my third post for today so be sure to scroll down and view the rest of them. I promise this is the last one for today!!

This is a little card I made for this week's Just Buggin' challenge.  The design team has some beautiful creations for the challenge. Each day, there is something new at Just Buggin!!

My little lamb was made from the Cricut Easter cartridge. It is cut in three layers. For the Whisper White layer, I embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots textured impressions folder. This folder is great!! After I embossed, I inked over the polkadots and the edges of the cardstock with Creamy Caramel ink using a sponge dauber.

The paper I used is from the Stampin' UP Sweet Pea stack. I liked the giant flowers on this design so I used it.

The sentiment is from the Stampin' UP Well Scripted stamp set.

Party Favor for Weddings with the Cricut

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Here is this week's project that I made for Decor Tuesday at Weddings with the Cricut. Be sure to stop by because everyday there is a new and gorgeous project made by the design team ladies. I have a simple flower tutorial to go along with my project today :O)

My project could be used for favor boxes, bridal shower boxes, or the bird seed containers. I had originally set out to make something to hold the bird seed, but these came out so nicely that I thought they could pretty much be used for anything.

The favor box used is actually on the Cricut Tie the Knot cartridge. I cut it at 8.5 to fit a full size sheet of cardstock (8.5X11inch). The box is easy to fold up because there are score marks cut into the pattern so it is easy to see what to do.

For the front, I cut an extra piece (the shift button gives you just the single piece and not the whole box) and embossed it with Stampin' UP's Polka Dots texture impressions folder. Around the edges I used Stampin' Rich Razzleberry ink on a sponge dauber to ink the edges.

After attaching the front to the box, I tied a bow on it using Stampin' UP Certainly Celery Satin Ribbon and attached the flower.

To make these simple flowers, you will need 3 different sizes of flowers of the same shape and a brad. I used a flower shape from the Cricut Walk in My Garden cartridge. These are cut out of Rich Razzleberry cardstock at 1inch, .75inch, and .5inch.

Using a Sponge Dauber, apply Close to Cocoa ink to the edges of each flower layer.

Here is a photo of the inked layers:

Stack the flower layers and attach them together with the brad.

Happy Birthday Mom!

HAPPY 50th MOM!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Hey everyone!

My mom's birthday is TODAY so to celebrate, I made her a little coupon book to go along with her presents. This coupon book was cut out using the Cricut Mother's Day cartridge, which is available in the Your Memories Here store here.

The Mother's Day cartridge is a GREAT cartridge and it has many great cuts on it that could be used for any occasion, like the little coupon book cuts.

For the cover of my book, I used the Stampin' UP A Little Birthday Cheer stamp set. I cut out the Make A Wish sentiment using the Modern Label punch and then made a shadow for it using the Punch Window Movers and Shapers die that coordinates with the punch.

I bound my little coupon book with Stampin' UP's linen thread.

All my pieces were cut out at 2inches with the REAL SIZE DIAL button OFF (not lit up!). That made the cover and the pages all fit together nicely.

The green piece is actually bound to my book and there are perforated lines so that you can rip the coupons out as needed.

The lines on my Pale Plum cardstock tickets were made using the recipe stamp from the Stampin' Up From the Kitchen Of stamp set.

  • Modern Label Punch
  • Linen Thread
  • Perfect Plum Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Very Vanilla cardstock

***MOM, if you are reading this, STOP NOW!! Shame on you for trying to look at your birthday surprises!!!

.

Hello everyone!!

I have been busy getting together some birthday decorations and gifts for my mom's 50th birthday coming up on Monday.

We have already been celebrating. Around here, we jokingly refer to the "Birthday Month" because we try to make sure to celebrate big and make birthdays very special. During the Birthday Month, we always make sure to do all the favorite things that the birthday boy or girl wants to do. AND it is birthday tradition to go out to eat at the Japanese Steakhouse called Kanpai of Tokyo so we went there tonight! Oh it is the best!!

For today's project, I have a birthday banner for you. I used this banner for today's segment over at Just Buggin

(click for larger photos!)
For the pendants, I used the Cricut Mother's Day cartridge and cut them out using Old Olive cardstock.

See all those cute little Polka dots??? Well they are from the new Perfect Polka Dots Stampin' UP Textured Impressions Folder for the Big Shot. I AM LOVING THIS FOLDER. I know everyone has gone gaga over the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, but I will do you ONE BETTER!! The Stampin' UP Perfect Polka Dots folder makes polkadots on A FULL CARD 4.25X5.5!!!! I was so excited when I got it in the mail and noticed that it is a full sized greeting card worth of polka dots!

Here is a close up:
I made the Old Olive cardstock a little distressed using Close to Cocoa classic ink on a Sponge Dauber.

The letters were cut out of Pale Plum cardstock using the Cricut Storybook cartridge. The bows were tied with Whsiper White Taffeta ribbon.

Newsletter Revamp

So. . . I have been doing a LOT of thinking lately on life in general and where I want my business to go and here is what I have come up with. . .

Nothing too profound but I really really want to make this a business. I am kind of waffling right now because I am still enrolled in college and earning my degree is my main priority right now, so there is only so much time to dedicate to my stamping. I have really felt the pull the past two weeks -school vs crafting, crafting vs school, over and over.

I want to really make my newsletter special. I have been really slacking off on sending my newsletters and now I want to really make it something great. SO that is my new little goal. I want to give my newsletter subscribers something new and special in their newsletter to make it worth their while.

So with that said, I have decided to change things up and make my newsletter a WEEKLY newsletter.

As a newsletter you can expect:
  • A newsletter in your inbox every Thursday
  • A monthly special (available ONLY to newsletter subscribers)
  • An exclusive project, technique or tip in every issue (shown ONLY in the newsletter)
  • All the latest and greatest Stamping' UP News
  • All the latest and greatest Scrapmaster's Paradise news about my special clubs, classes, templates (coming soon!!), and monthly product shares.
OH YEAH, it is going to be GOOD!! So if you are ready, sign up for my Stampin' UP newsletter below:

Happy Friday everyone!

This week has been way to short, where did it go??! I feel like it flew by so fast. Well here is my project for this week's Just Buggin challenge. The challenge this week is to use Black and White and one other color on your Cricut project. I chose to use Red as my one other color.

To make the bird cage and bird, I used the Cricut Serenade cartridge. On the top of the bird cage, I used one of the Sending Love Chocolate Chip epoxy brads.

The label and sentiment stamps I used came from the Stampin' UP Vintage Labels stamp set.
