Some Variations

Happy Sunday!! I have had a great couple of days. Yesterday and today, we have been busy PLANNING OUR WEDDING!!! I don't want to give anything away just yet, but I plan on showing some invitation prototypes to you VERY SOON.

So today, I am supposed to share a new Stamp Set of the Week to you, BUT I have decided that I am changing it up! I still have some Watercolor Trio cards to share with you, and the RETIRING STAMPS list comes out on Tuesday, June 1st so for the whole month of June, I am going to be showcasing the stamp sets I have that will be retiring (I am sure there will be enough of them to keep me crafting *wink wink*).

And check back tomorrow because tomorrow is SP Color Combo's 50th color combo challenge!!! I have a big prize to celebrate :O)

Finally, here are today's cards. They are all slight variations on my card I shared with you a few days ago.

For this one, I used Pretty in Pink cardstock around the flower image. The sentiment is on the bottom center, and I used the butterfly image with Pretty in Pink ink across the side of the card. All the stamps are from the Watercolor Trio stamp set.

On this one, I made little dots along the Scallop Circle punch out using the Melon Mambo stampin' write marker.

On this last one, I just moved the images over to the bottom right corner.

They all just look a little bit different.

    Wrinkle Rose Thank You card

Happy Friday!!! Got any good weekend plans? We are just hanging around the house as usual.

Oh, late yesterday, we got something wonderful in the mail. . . Johnny's diploma!!!!!!! It's official!! My guy is a graduate!!!!!!!! I am so proud of him!

Well today, my card was made for Your Memories Here as part of the DT over there. I used this gorgeous paper flower as the feature of my card. It is actually called a Wrinkle Rose and it is from Prima. The flower was actually much larger than it is now, but I took off some of the petals so that it would fit on my card.

I also featured Color Journey Combo #8: Cameo Coral is retiring!!! Be sure to stock up while you still can!

Color Journey Combos are combos I have come up with using the retiring Stampin' UP colors from the Color Renovation. Feel free to use this combo on your project, you can copy and paste the color swatch directly to your blog too! If you use my color combos, please post a link in the comments section below because I might just feature your project on my blog!!!

    • The stem and sentiment were stamped using the Watercolor Trio stamp set. I used my Stampin' UP markers (in Cameo Coral and Always Artichoke) to make the two toned stamped image. You just simply color directly on the rubber and then stamp!
    • The patterned paper I used is from the DCWV At Home premium stack.
    • The sentiment was punched out with the Large Oval Punch and then layered on a punch out of the Scallop Oval Punch.
    • On the bottom of the cream patterned paper, I used the Scallop Edge Punch.
    • The card base is Cameo Coral (RETIRING!!).

    Simple Thank Yous

Happy Thursday everyone! I have been working lately on some cards that I need to get mailed out. I have A LOT of cards to make!

So the next few days, I am going to be sharing a few simple thank you cards with you. The first couple were made for Watercolor Trio stamp set.

    • The flower and sentiment are both from the Watercolor Trio stamp set. I colored the flower in with Melon Mambo and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers. I colored DIRECTLY on the rubber part of the stamp so that I could make a two toned image. This is where the Stampin' UP markers are indispensable.
    • Then I punched out the flowers with the 1 and 3/8inch Circle punch and I punched a piece of Cameo Coral (RETIRING!!!) cardstock with the Scallop Circle Punch.
    • On each of the little scallops I used the White Gel Pen to make cute little dots.
    • The card base is Kraft cardstock (soon to be called Crumb Cake).

    All a Flutter Watercolors

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday. I hope you make sure to check out my post from yesterday because it contains my 4th 150K Celebration GIVEAWAY!

I have another Watercolor Trio week project for you today. I have been really excited to finally get a chance to use the butterfly single stamp called All a Flutter and it worked perfectly with the Watercolor Trio stamp set.

I also used SP Color Combo #49:

    • The flower and sentiment are both from the Watercolor Trio stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black and the flower was stamped in Certainly Celery.
    • The butterfly is a single stamp called All a Flutter. I colored it in with my Copic Markers from iCopic. I used the following colors: 0 (Colorless Blender), 100 (Black), YR04, YR07, BG34, BG23, and BG49.
    • TIP: I actually stamped the butterfly TWICE. Once on the Green Galore cardstock and once on Whisper White. I colored in the one on Whisper White and cut closely around the edges and actually cut off the antennas. But the antennas were stamped on the Green Galore cardstock so they showed up.
    • I used the Corner Rounder Punch on the rectangle layers of Green Galore and Only Orange cardstock.
    • On the bottom piece of Green Galore cardstock, I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch.
    • The card base is Bermuda Bay cardstock.

    Quickie Card

    Hello all!!

I hope the start to your week has been fabulous. Not much has been going on around here. We have been cleaning cleaning cleaning!! (If you need used DVD's check my ebay LOL!!)  The new office is almost complete and my scrap dining room is starting to come together. I still have to figure out how to get everything organized, but it is a work in progress. Still lots to move around but I am getting there. My fiance and I have gotten rid of soooo much stuff (I am a former scrapbook supply hoarder and my mom is a bit of a pack rat, sorry mom, it is TRUE!!). We have taken like 5 car loads down to Goodwill and it feel so great to clear out the clutter. I hate clutter!! It is so nice to have open spaces in the closets!

Today I have a quickie card for you using the Watercolor Trio stamp set. I am really in need of more "just because" quick cards so that I can be ready for NEW CATALOG TIME!!! I am sooooooo excited!!!! I earned a pre-view copy of the catalog (it rocks to be a demo!) and my pre-view catalog should be here THIS WEEK! EEEEEEEEKKK!!

    • This one was easy peasy to put together.
    • The card is 4X4inches. It was made with Old Olive.
    • TIP: When making a square card, make it smaller than 4.25inches so that it can fit in a standard greeting card envelope and you won't have to pay any extra for shipping a square envelope!!
    • The flowers in the background were stamped in Always Artichoke Classic Ink repeatedly. The flowers and sentiment are both part of the Watercolor Trio stamp set.
    • The sentiment was punched out using the Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch.
    • The patterned paper for the ovals is from the DCWV At Home premium stack.

My buddy Deanne convinced me that we needed a forum button so here it is!! What do ya think?? I happen to love scallops :)

Well that is all for you today! I am going to get back to cleaning :O)  I will be back in the SP Forum later tonight.

Stamp Set of the Week Reveal

Hello everyone! Earlier today I posted my first sketch, make sure to scroll down (or go to my blog if you are in reader) to see the sketch.

Welcome to Watercolor Trio week!! All week long, I am going to be sharing projects I made using the Watercolor Trio stamp set. This stamp set is available from the Summer Mini catalog. I love this set because the flower images have a beautiful distressed look to them. The stamped flowers look like they have been watercolored! SO neat!!

    • The background of this card is Blush Blossom cardstock which is retiring!! I stamped the background using a stamp from the Elements of Style stamp set and Blush Blossom Classic Ink. I love the tone on tone look.
    • The sentiment is from the Elements of Style stamp set.
    • The flower and butterflies are images from the Watercolor Trio stamp set. I used my Stampin' UP markers to color directly on the stamp so that I could stamp the flower image in two colors! This is where the Stampin' UP markers are indispensable! I colored the flower petals with my Blush Blossom Stampin' Write Marker and the stems with my Old Olive Stampin' Write marker.

    Sketch!

Hello everyone!! Happy Sunday! I am about to work on my project post for today (rough night I will explain below). First. . . I wanted to introduce you to my first ever sketch I designed using My Digital Studio! I have had sketch challenges on my blog in the past, but they were hand drawn (and very poorly drawn at that! LOL). So occasionally, you will see my new sketch challenges posted here!

Feel free to use this sketch, but if you do, I would LOVE to see it!
Upload your projects using this layout to the Sketch Challenge Entries section in the gallery under SP Forum and Challenges. Be sure to include the keyword "Sketch1" (no spaces) so that people can search for your projects!

Now for the rough night. . . little Emma, the puppy, was sick! She ended up throwing up multiple times over the course of the night and kept my fiance and up most of the night (we slept some this morning after she was finally through being sick). I slept on the floor of the living room next to her between throw up sessions. It was very stressful and tiring. The poor little baby just wanted to be cuddled so I slept holding her in my arms. She is perfectly fine now. . must have just been something she ate.

I will be back soon with my Stamp Set of the Week reveal. First I gotta get our late lunch started :)

So much going on and some updates!

    Hey everyone!

I don't have a project for you today. Well technically I do, but it is sitting on my table unphotographed. LOL

OMG I am up to my eyeballs in stuff to do to get ready for everything coming up at Scrapmaster's Paradise. I really am living my dream, but today, I am not feeling the love! LOL  I am feeling the frustration! Let me tell you. . . it is really hard getting a website up and running! LOL Blogging is so easy and blogger.com makes it so simple to do what you want to do. In the .com world. . . well there is a lot you have to do!!

It took me DAYS to get my forum up and running and I am trying to get something else working and so far it has taken me two days. . . and I am no closer than where I started (I ended up getting everything up and running last night, but I didn't like it so I am having to start over with something else and haven't gotten very far yet today).

BUT I wanted to write to you to tell you how hard I am working behind the scenes for you!! It is going to be GREAT if I can ever get everything just how I want it.  You are going to be really impressed *wink wink*. In the meantime make sure you check out the forum/messageboard and the DT call because well. ..  I think it is going to rock!

And I have two personal updates for you:

    1. Many of you have been asking about my Husky, Skyeler and her condition. She is doing GREAT!! She isn't back to 100% and we are still trying to find a steriod dose that works for her, but she is getting back to her old rambunctious self which is awesome to see. She still doesn't have a lot of energy. She is no longer having any sort of breathing issues and she isn't coughing at all. You wouldn't know that she was so sick if you saw her. She is such a little sweetie pie.

    2. My Botox treatment for migraine yesterday went well. I am SO SORE in my head and neck right now and today I haven't done much physically. Today and yesterday have been lay on the couch days (but I am doing laundry so that has to count for something LOL)!! It is all worth it in the end, but I was really hurting yesterday and I am still hurting today. Aside from the actual migraines, getting the Botox treatment is the most painful thing I have gone through. This treatment was the worst so far because my neurologist used a longer needle to get to the deeper muscles in my neck and DARN it hurt so bad I was tearing up when she was working on me. She is hoping that getting to the deeper muscles will keep me migraine free for longer and I hope so too!
