Emergency Leave of Absense, Introducing Allison

Hi guys and gals,

With a sad heart I have to break some bad news to you. Right before we boarded the plane back to Knoxville, my grandmother was admitted to the hospital. She just had knee surgery a couple of days ago and had been sent back home, but she was not doing well. She ended up having a heart attack and is now in the ICU being watched very closely for blood clots. We do not yet know what is going to happen, but she is in very bad condition and I am probably going to be going to TX where she is..

Please send prayers and/or happy vibes her way. She really needs them right now.

As of right now, EVERYTHING is on hold, I will be posting updates on my facebook and keep you informed.

We will just push the August Kit back a little bit and I will not be posting new projects for a while (probably, although I find blogging very therapeutic so I might be around).

Allison, my dear friend, fellow demonstrator, and design team member is going to be stepping up to the plate and helping keep posts coming to SP. Allison is one of the greatest people I know so you are in great hands. She will be sharing August Kit projects with you along with paper kit projects all made from the wonderful Scrapmaster's Paradise design team members. Please make her feel welcome here. She is really stepping up for me and for that I will be forever grateful.

Thank you for your well wishes and understanding.

CHA, what a day!!

Can I get a WOOOOP WOOOOP?!  Omy gosh, I had such an amazing time today and I have lots of photos and a few videos to get loaded for y'all. . . but two issues, the hotels internet totally STINKS AND I left my camera's USB at home. . . yep, I am a total dork! So. .. I will try to get some more photos sent through my my facebook tomorrow, and you can check there for some updates (you can click on my facebook badge in my sidebar).

I made this for my Summer School professor's son because he had heart surgery! It was really great, we were super sneaky. During class, we passed the card around secretly so everyone could sign it for him. lt was my evil genius plan!!

Everything is Stampin' UP and I am absolutely in love with this stamp set, it is called Fox and Friends. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE it. . . one of my faves and I was oh so glad to be able to use it for the card!

And do you see that awesome orange grid part? That is WASHI TAPE!!! I will talk more about that later I gotta run and get to bed!

Monster Smile Card

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

Hey everyone!!  I know this is super late, but I wanted to go ahead and get this posted once I got the photo uploaded.

Funny story about this monster. . . I had drawn out some images using my Cricut and my buddy Amy Chomas's AWESOME Gel Pen Holder, and then I went to town coloring in the images with my Copic markers. . . well, then I have NO CLUE where I put them all!! AHHH! I don't usually misplace things, but for the life of me, I couldn't find the colored images forever! Finally, they turned up in a stack of cardstock scraps I was sorting through one day. Don't ya just hate when that happens?!

Anyway, so here is the monster card:

This monster image is from the Cricut Mini Monsters cartridge. He was by far my favorite-est one and I thought he would look great with google eyes so here ya go!! The monsters little wings and horns were accented with the Stampin' UP White Gel Pen.

With Amy's Gel Pen Holder, you can draw anything your Cricut can cut! You just replace the blade in your Cricut with the gel pen and gel pen holder and go to town drawing away. I have a video for ya that I need to get uploaded. Amy also sells an embossing tip for your Cricut machine too.

The smile sentiment is from one of my new fave stamp sets, Stampin' UP's Fabulous Phrases and stamped using the Stamp-a-ma-jig using Melon Mambo Classic ink. The polka dot paper is from the Rockabilly paper kit, available in the SP Store.

The ribbon is from Pebbles, inc.

I used Copic markers in the following Colors:
  • BV13
  • BV17
  • BV02
  • R85
  • R59

Wedding Cake Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a fabulous weekend! We have done some shopping and I am trying to get ready for next weekend's trip to CHA!! WAHOOOOOO! I am seriously so excited I can't even tell you! I have a lot to prepare before we go because I am going to be missing one day of summer school (and with summer school, it is like almost missing a week of regular school because they pack so much into each class).

If you haven't yet watched my Adhesive Pearls video, be sure to check it out because today's project features some of the new adhesive pearls!! I have already made a few project using these that I will be sharing with you soon. These are so great!!

The wedding cake and sentiment are both from the Stampin' UP Blissful Bride stamp set.

The textured area of the card was made using the Big Shot with the Square Lattice textured impressions embossing folder.

Tomorrow, I am going to be taking a little road trip with the fiance, but I will have a special card to share with you.
