Ho Ho Ho!

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

Hey everyone! Told ya I would be back :O)    I have been having a lot of fun lately working on Christmas cards!! Christmas is one of my favorite times of year (second only to Thanksgiving, but usually I don't make very many cards for that one).

Tonight, I have a card that uses a lot of my favorite things lately, which I would like to take a moment to talk about. . .

1. Copics!! OMG I am coloring non-stop these days! I take half of my collection with me to school so I can color on the go.  Here is a photo in the hall between classes (I took this on my BB):

photo.php.jpg

If you are wondering, that AWESOME case for the Copics is available from iCopic.com: Copic Empty Wallet - Black Velcro Marker Case for 72 Markers

Copic Empty Wallet - Black Velcro Marker Case for 72 Markers

2. The Cricut Imagine!  My mom and I worked out a little deal that I can use my machine a little bit, as long as I keep my grades up and so I have been having a blast playing with it!

3. My new favorite adhesive the glue runner from Adtech! Totally loving it! Make sure you enter my giveaway here: *Fun Friday Giveaway, we've got glue! Click here!

OK, now that you are thoroughly enabled to buy a bunch of the best goodies. . . here is my card. My friends, you are going to want to click on this photo so you can see the enlarged photo because this just might be the BEST/CLEAREST photo I have ever taken of one of my paper projects!!! I have been learning so much in my photography class this semester and this photo shows that. (Can you tell I am really proud of myself!!?? It only took me like 3 years to figure out how to take a decent photo! HA)

The cute little guy and the sentiment are from The Greeting Farm stamp set called Christmas Sweeties, which is available in the iCopic store The Greeting Farm Rubber Stamp - Xmas Sweeties

I colored him in with the following Copic colors.
For the Skin: E00
For the Belt buckle: Y38
For the red clothes: R27 and R29
For the hair: Y11, Y15, and Y21

The tag shape is from the Cricut Imagine Best Friends Cartridge. I liked the distressed creamy color. I inked the edges with Stampin' UP Real Red Ink using a Sponge Dauber.

The brad with the heart in it is actually a retired brad BUT it is available in the clearance section through my mom's Stampin' UP website!! Purchase these beauties ASAP because they will sell out!

The ribbon (real red satin), cardstock (real red), and patterned paper (Candy Cane designer paper) are all from Stampin' UP also.

Can You Guess? Sneak Peek

Gosh, yesterday was not a good blog day for me! I had written the post I had wanted to write in its entirety, and then clicked "publish post" and nothing happened!! So then I log out and log back in and half of my post is saved as a draft. Then I proceed to RETYPE the final half of the post and BAM the same thing happens! I can't click on any of the buttons so I log out again and when I come back, the post is completely gone that time! WAHHH!

So real quick, this morning I want to post a sneak peek or two for you! I promised that I would have sneak peeks of my upcoming product line and so here is your first peek.

Can you guess what Sami has been designing for the new SP Store? I would love to hear your guesses :O)

What do you think that thing is going to be???

And here is a sneak peek of my future packaging (still in the design process! LOL)
It matchy matches my blog and store!

Anyway, I must run to class, but I will be back later with another post for you! I have caught the holiday bug big time and have some Christmas cards to share with you. Hope I an squeeze some of them in this week!

Weekly Lineup!

Hey blog buddies!

I don't have a project for you today, because well, this sinus infection really kicked my butt this week and I have been working on something HUGE! I am finally on the tail end of being sick so I should be back to normal very soon.  Today, I would like to tell you about some fun things coming up at SP!

  • New Products
  • Blogging
  • Items for Sale
  • Newsletter
  • Giveaway

Oh, before I forget, this week's crafty coupons have been posted here: Crafty Coupons Week of September 26, 2010 (and one Saturday ONLY)

First, I am rolling out some BRAND NEW PRODUCTS here at SP!! These will be SP EXCLUSIVE products and you will not find them anywhere else. I designed them and I am so proud of how they turned out. I am so excited I can no longer keep this a secret so I am going to start talking more about it very very soon!! You are NEVER going to believe what I have in store for you!!! Well, at least I can't! I cannot believe it! It is almost like a dream. Anyway, so I will be posting sneak peeks for you starting this week so that once my new products make their debut, you will be ready for them :O)

Between getting sick and all the behind the scenes stuff lately (who knew packaging could be such an intense process?!) that for the next week or two, I am going to be taking it easy on the blogging. I will still be posting daily, but not always with a brand new project to share with you. I have quite a few videos planned for you and they will be the bulk of what I will be sharing this week. I have a multi-step project that I am going to share with you over a few days.

And thirdly, BECAUSE I am going to be starting my very own product line, I have to make room and I have LOTS and LOTS of stuff listed on ebay and more will be on the way! I have got to clear out some space so please feel free to take a peek at my items for sale! I have priced everything reasonably because I want everything to SELL! You can find my ebay items here: http://shop.ebay.com/thescrapmaster/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340

Next, I want to let you know that the newsletter is starting back in October! I have been neglecting the newsletter and it is going to be coming back. If you haven't signed up for my newsletter yet, be sure to do so in the right sidebar so you don't miss some fun stuff!

And finally. . . do NOT forget to enter the glue giveaway sponsored by Adtech! Fun Friday Giveaway!

Hope you all have a lovely week and I will be back tomorrow with a new SP Color Combo challenge.

Hello all!

Since I need to do some MAJOR craft area cleaning, I thought I would let you know that I am listing LOTS of stuff on ebay: some patterned paper, many  Stampin' UP sets, and anything else I can scrounge up to get rid of.  I am no longer a demonstrator so there are even some current sets listed.

My ebay username is thescrapmaster and you can see the items I have for sale here: http://shop.ebay.com/thescrapmaster/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p4340

Fun Friday Giveaway!

GIVEAWAY CLOSED!!

Hi everyone! Today, I have a Fun Friday giveaway for you!!

SP just reached 1000 visitors and so it is time to celebrate!  I have quite a lovely set of giveaways for you today.

Now, every paper crafter needs ADHESIVE!!! My giveaway today is sponsored by the lovely people at Adtech, which is short for Adhesive Technologies! They make all sorts of adhesives for consumer (home decor, crafts, DIY projects) and commercial use. They know their glue!!

Well, Adtech sent me a GIANT box of glue runners to test out and let me tell you, I might just have a new favorite. . .

These are great little glue runners because they have a great hold. At first, if you stick your layers a little crooked, you can peel apart the layers, which is really nice for me because I make lots of mistakes in my crafting.  With my other beloved glue runner (ATG), once you lay down your layer, it is there FOR GOOD, there is no going back.  With the Adtech glue runner, I love that I have a few minutes to change my mind and redo a section before the adhesive becomes completely permanent.

I went back and tried to remove a layer after about an hour and it was stuck for good.

So, since I have a giant box of these to give away, how about I give FIVE lucky blog followers an Adtech Glue Runner PLUS two refills?? Does that sound good to y'all???

FIVE readers will win!!

HOW TO ENTER:
  • Become a blog follower if you aren't already AND
  • Leave a comment on the bottom of THIS post. You can say anything you want in your comment, but please remember to thank Adtech for sponsoring this giveaway!
This giveaway will end next Friday, October 1st, at midnight EST.

Love You Lots Card

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

Hi everyone! I am so glad I was ahead on my projects because last night, I got SICK! I got to the doctor today and it turns out I have a nasty sinus infection, yuck!!

BUT there is also a big reason to celebrate! SP has reached ONE THOUSAND blog followers!!!! EEEK! I can't believe it! I still get excited every time I get a new follower! I am so thankful for you all and tomorrow, I have a great giveaway planned for you all. You are gonna love it because it involves something that EVERY scrapper or cardmaker loves!!

Anyway, so here is my project I had planned for y'all for today. This card was made with the Cricut Imagine and the September 2010 SP Card Kit.

For the Love alphas, I used the Cricut Cindy Loo cartridge AND my own patterned paper in the Imagine. You do NOT have to print all of your shapes out using the Cricut. The Imagine lets you cut only so you can use any patterned paper or cardstock that you already own. The patterned paper I used for the letters is from the 14 Pc 6X6 Paper Kit -Stampin' UP Ski Slope DSP RETIRED

The marquee symbol was made using the Imagine Best Friends cartridge. It printed out in the distressed vanilla color, and then I stamped on the heart from the Stampin' UP I {heart} hearts stamp set. The tiny letters are from Cosmo Cricket, they are stickers called Tiny Type.

Your Stampin' With Sami Shopping List contains all of the lovely SP and Company items I used on today's project. These items are available from my online store,SP and Company anytime 24/7. Believe Christmas Card

Hi everyone! This is my third post for today so make sure to scroll down and check out my other two posts from today.

This afternoon, I would like to share a Copic creation with you! Here it is:

The little girl image is from the Stampin' UP Greeting Card Kids stamp set. This image is so darn cute!!! I colored it in with the following Copic colors, and I get all my copics from iCopic.com , they ROCK!!

  • R27
  • R29
  • RV21
  • RV23
  • RV29
  • E00
  • E21

The papers, ribbon, and brad are all from the September 2010 SP Card Kit. On the patterned paper, I used the Stampin' UP Scallop Trim Border Punch.

For the sentiment, I stamped an image from the Papertrey Ink stamp set called Tree Trimming Trio. I stamped it using Stampin' UP Cherry Cobbler classic ink. Then I punched it out using the Modern Label Punch.

On the real red cardstock, I used the Stampin' UP Petals a Plenty embossing folder.

Blingy Umbrella Card

Hey everyone! This is my second post for today so keep scrolling down so you don't miss a thing from SP!

I used one of my Cricut Original cartridges, Nursery Rhymes, with a Cricut Imagine and the Imagine Cartridge, Nursery Tails. I made a video showing how I made this die cut, which can be viewed by clicking here!

And here is the card:

So the silhouette shape of the person and the duck came from the Cricut Nursery Rhymes cartridge, but the patterned paper on that image came off of the Cricut Imagine cartridge!! Isn't that neat?!?! It is so exciting!

The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink stamp set called Scattered Showers. I used Early Espresso Stampin' UP ink to stamp on the sentiment.

The other items on my card are from the September 2010 SP Card Kit. I used the Stampin' UP Distressing Essentials kit to distress the patterned paper behind my silhouette image.

Also, on the Cherry Cobbler cardstock, I used the Stampin' UP Scallop Edge Border Punch.

Your Stampin' With Sami Shopping List contains all of the lovely SP and Company items I used on today's project. These items are available from my online store,SP and Company anytime 24/7.
