Guest Post Friday

Hello everone!! Happy New Year's Eve! Do you have any special plans to celebrate tonight? We always stay at home and play some board games and watch some TV. Uneventful yes, but so much fun! Today my lovely design team member Stephanie is going to share a great project with you using my stamps.
Good morning to you all!  My name is Stephanie and I am excited and honored to be the Guest Designer this week at SP.  I absolutely love these SP and Company Stamps and I used two sets this week for my project!
For my project, I wanted to make a set of three mini cards.  I used the SP and Company Mini Card Creations II Stamp Set for the frame and sentiments on each of these three cards.  I wanted to use something kind of elegant with the pattern paper I had, so I also used the SP and Company Flourishee Stamp Set and used it to stamp in the middle of my frame.
First, I stamped the mini frame on my pattern paper with the black embossing powder.  Then, I stamped the sentiment in Sky Blue.  Next, I used the flourish and stamped it right in the middle of the frame.  I cut around the frame and then proceeded to cut out my card stock a 1/4 inch bigger than frame.  As I cut the black out, I cut the gray cardstock out, attached it and wrapped the ribbon around both pieces.  I attached that to the white cardstock base and then, attached the mini frame to the top with zots adhesive.
I hope that you find inspiration in my cards and in all that we do here at SP.  Make sure you grab some of the high quality stamps from Samantha!  I promise, you will not be disappointed!
Stephanie
Here is the set of three cards:

Card Size:  3.75" x 3.75"
Stamps:  Mini Card Creations II, Flourishee
Cardstock:  Stampin' Up
Pattern Paper:  Martha Stewart
Embossing Ink:  Big & Bossy Clear
Embossing Powder:  Ranger-Black, A La Mode-Sky Blue
Ribbon:  Michael's
Adhesive:  Adtech roller, Zots

Wasn't her project lovely?! I just love how she used the bright blue against the neutral colors! GORGEOUS!! Cards like these are exactly what I designed the Mini Card Creations stamp sets for!

Design Team Wednesday

Hello everyone!!

EDITED to add: Yes that is right, all day I thought it was Wednesday!! LOL I am so embarrassed! That is what having a post-surgery puppy does to ya! Oh well, you can still enjoy the hop :)

I am soooo blessed that puppy Emma is home and doing great after her eye removal surgery . . . and she just jumped off the couch! LOL OK I am back! The other dogs started walking around and she wanted to be a part of the action so I put her in her little confinement area (which consists of her little baby dog fence thingy (no idea what to call it), some comfy blankets, and some of her favorite toys. She is not a happy camper at the moment, but is doing well. She has been eating and drinking and not even trying to mess with her face.

Anyway, so the reason I am back again today is that Wednesday is DESIGN TEAM DAY!! WAHOO!! So all through 2011, Wednesday will be a day for blog hopping to see all of the great design team's projects.

And today, we have an extra special guest joining us for our weekly blog hop. . . Amy Chomas!

Hope you have a great time visiting some of my friends today. I would love to hear what you think of their projects. Here we go!!

Fun with Rain Boots

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

Hello everyone!

***Cricut Cartridge Sneak Peeks have been posted to the Imagination Land Blog here!!***
This is my first post of the day. I will be posting our weekly design team hop later today so stay tuned :O)

PUPPY EMMA UPDATE: Thank you all for your well wishes for my puppy Emma. She is supposed to be coming home this morning, we should be able to pick her up in about 2 hours. When we talked with the vet yesterday after her surgery, they said that she was recovering well and already eating and drinking. Hopefully my little baby will be healed quickly and be able to adjust to her new one-eyed life! I will keep you all updated.

A few days ago, I started playing around with my signature and shopping list section and you will see what I came up with below! I wanted it to match my bloggity better, and I made it a little more compact. I have also updated my watermark since my name will be changing in less than two weeks!! EEK!! What do ya think?

So. . . I have been having SOOOOOO MUCH FUN using the brand new SP and Company Stamps that will be available the first week of January!! Pre-orders are already being placed and you can pre-order already if you want to be one of the first to get your hands on these beautiful stamps!!

My card today features one of my absolute favorite stamp sets ever: SP and Company Rain Boots Stamp Set! I love the rain boots!

What is AWESOME about this stamp set is that it comes with little decorative shapes so that you can customize the boots!! SO CUTE!

The January stamps are now on their way to me so they should arrive on time to those of you who pre-ordered!! I can't wait to see what you make with these!

I used the little heart stamp to decorate these beauties:
The sentiment is also a part of this set.

The patterned paper is from Echo Park paper company.

I also used some Stampin' UP cardstock: Regal Rose and Daffodil Delight. I paper pieced the boots together from different colors of cardstock.

The ink was Stampin' UP Basic Black and Pretty in Pink classic inks.

The shape around the boots was cut from the Cricut Martha Stewart All Occasions Cake Art cartridge.

Christmas Cards Continued

Hello everyone.

I have some sad news for you today about my baby puppy Emma. On Monday night, Emma started shutting her right eye like she got something in it. Well we flushed her eye with water and just watched her. She never scratched at it or seemed uncomfortable, but something just wasn't right. So this morning, she was still closing her eye. So I called the vet and they had me bring her in immediately! After some inspection and pressure measurements. . . we got bad news!! She has to have her eye removed and will be having the surgery this morning. The only good news is that the eye is already damaged (she has a detached retina, and probably can't even see out of it anyways) and it isn't her good eye that has to be removed. I am so sad for my little baby. Please keep my little baby in your thoughts and prayers.

And after getting the worst news, we went out for a pre-wedding celebration. We had already made our reservations, and had a great time! I will have photos from the event for you another time.

Here is some of Emma's most recent photos:

Guest Post from Linda

Hello everyone!! Today I have a super special guest post for you from the amazing Linda! Each week, Linda designs absolutely gorgeous projects.

Hi Everyone, I am honored to be the Guest Designer this week at SP. I used the Cutest Gingerbread Man Stamp set to create this money holder for son's Christmas gift. I just love this set. I wanted to use one of the sad faces so I thought that one way a gingerbread man would be sad is if someone took a bite out of him and who better than Santa.

The Santa is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. I love the way SP and Company stamps go with my Cricut cuts. I am sure that is because Samantha is a big Cricut fan.
This card measures 81/2 by 4 inches and fits in a regular envelope. I added a 1 inch strip of paper to the inside of the card to hold the check. The background is DCWV designer paper.

I hope you were inspired by my card.
Linda

Card Recipe:
Stamp: Cutest Gingerbread Man Stamp set from SP and Company, sentiment from the same set. Santa's face is a Peachy Keen face
Ink: SU Black
Paper: DCWV The Homemade Christmas Stack, SU Real Red
Acc. Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up, Gypsy, Liquid Applique, ribbon is something I had

Merry Christmas Layout

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!! You can join the boycott too!**

Merry Christmas!! We just got finished opening presents and having brunch. Now the family is preparing the Christmas feast and watching football! AND it is snowing!!! Yes, I know it is hard to believe it is snowing in East Tennessee, but it is!! What is your family's favorite Christmas tradition?

For today, I have made a layout for you using my FAVORITE Echo Park Collection, Everybody Loves Christmas, which is available in my online store. This collection is so bright and fun. I just love the colors and the bold style of the papers and elements in this collection!! I love to scrapbook with a non-traditional color palette for Christmas layouts so this collection works perfectly for my style. This layout features my youngest doggie, Emma, who just loves sniffing the Christmas tree. :)

Everything except the cardstock is from the Everybody Loves Christmas Collection.

The flourishes, journaling shapes, and background shape were cut out with the Cricut Expression using the Cricut Elegant Cakes cartridge. It seems that the Cake cartridges are my favorite cartridges at the moment. I simply can't get enough of them!!

The alphabets were cut out using the Cricut Don Juan cartridge. I also cut out a shadow layer for everything except the background shape.

The snowflakes are from the sticker sheet from the Everybody Loves Christmas Collection as well.

For the journaling shape was stamped with lines using SP and Company Scallops and Lines Stamp Set and then the journaling was written with the black Copic Multiliner.

Cricut Printable Handbook Sheets

**I  am on a ProvoCraft/Cricut Boycott! They won't get another dime from me!  Got a Cricut? Well use it! Don't have one yet? Consider a different  machine!! Click here for more details about my boycott and how I got here!!**

I have been wanting to do this for quite some time, so since I am done with school and have some extra time, I intend to make printable sheets for each Cartridge handbook.  For each cartridge, there is going to be 5 pages to print and then you can stick them in a binder and refer to them when looking for shapes, browsing, or cutting!

Please link to this post when sharing this information with people.

This list will grow over time so check back soon!

50 Days of Christmas: Day 49: In Love with Love

Hello there everyone!! Did you notice that SP is now a .com?! WAHOOOOOO!! I am soooooo glad that my blog has been upgraded to www.thescrapmaster.com . I have spent a lot of time this week stressing over the switch. Some things went wrong, and I spent days frantically hoping that it would start working correctly after my hosting provider told me how to make it right again. And now here we are!! Make sure you update your bookmarks!

Well so much to tell you about today! My diploma arrived in the mail today!! It is possibly the most amazing Christmas present that I will ever receive. I am so proud of my education!!

And tomorrow, my aunt and grandma are arriving from Texas for a week! We are going to have such a great time and I can't wait for them to get here. Also tomorrow, we are headed over to a friend's house. I have been babysitting their most adorable little girl and we have picked out so many presents for her. It is going to be really exciting watching her open all of her gifts.

So today, we cleaned the house from top to bottom, bathed the doggies, and finished the last bit of Christmas decorating.

For today, I wanted to share some Christmas cards with you. In the past week, I mailed out about half of my Christmas cards (half are still left to finish up!). My camera is charging right now, so instead of shoing you my Christmas cards, I am going to show you a love card, featuring the January SP and Company Stamps releases!!

This photo is blurry because they were taken with my Blackberry in rather bad light.
This set features a sentiment from the I Love Love Stamp Set. The hearts are all from the Artsy Heartsy Stamp Set.

I cut each of the squares at 1.75inches and then stamped a different patterned heart into the center of each square.

I will get something posted tomorrow (hopefully some Christmas cards if my Camera cooperates, LOL). I hope you have a wonderful holiday!! See you tomorrow.
