Love You Strawberry Kisses & Major Announcement Time

Hi everyone! How's it going??

Have you missed me around here the past couple of days? I have missed you! Well it seems I am a bit of a workaholic because my hubby keeps catching me doing behind the scenes stuff for the blog rather than taking "time off" to relax. LOL

Anyway, today I am back with a HUGE announcement and a new project to share.

I have been wanting to share this news with you so badly!!! I am one of the lucky few selected for the next Crafter's Companion design team! EEK!! I fell in love with their stamps when I saw them in the iCopic store and had to learn all about their stamps (Darn that iCopic, they always introduce me to THE BEST stamps!!). I found Crafter's Companion's amazing blog, their fun challenge blog, and their store. When I found out that CC was having a design team call, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out. And now I am so happy to tell you that I am one of the newest Design Team Co-Leaders for the CC Blog and I will also be designing for the CC Challenge Blog.

What this means for you is. . . You are going to start seeing new Crafter's Companion projects posted here every Wednesday (and other days here and there) so you will have even more goodies to add to your wish lists! You may thank me, but your wallet may not *wink wink*.

In all seriousness though, I am beyond excited for this opportunity. I feel like my hard crafty work and years of blogging are finally validated by some great recognition, and I couldn't be more thankful for all these wonderful opportunities I have been given.

Here is my first project as a part of the official Crafter's Companion design team. Soon I will get all of my wonderful new teammates listed in the sidebar so you can see their amazing work also. So let's move onto the project.

Today I have a new Strawberry Kisses project to share with you. One of my favorite holidays is Valentine's Day so I used this Strawberry Kisses image to make a lovey dovey card. This image was just too cute to pass up. I love anything with Animals so the Strawberry Kisses images really speak to me. Aren't these little guys so sweet?! These new Strawberry Kisses images are set to hit the CC Store next week so be watching for them.

I colored in this Strawberry Kisses image in with Spectrum Noir markers from Crafter's Companion. These markers are set to come out in January. When I was finished coloring the image in, I inked around the edges a bit with caramel colored ink.

I matted the image with cardstock and layered it onto patterned paper. I added some twine, a couple of decorative elements, and a simple sentiment.

The finished card measures 7X4.5inches.
