Love Bunny Card

Hello everyone!!  I posted the SP Color Combo #102 earlier today so scroll down so you can play along.

And now I want to show you the iCopic Weekly Challenge #32 -Translucent Challenge. I love this challenge because it is actually a tough one for me.

For my translucent part, I colored in pink bubbles. I used Copic colors RV000 and RV00. I just tried to make the center of the bubbles lighter than the edges so that they looked rounded like real bubbles.

Card Details:
  • The bunny image is from the Stampin' UP Blowing Kisses stamp set and was colored in with the following Copic colors from iCopic.com: RV00, RV000, E51, E53, E31, Y38, G02, G14, B0000.
  • For the sky (B0000) and the grass (G02) I used my air compressor and airbrush system from iCopic.com . I also drew a little dirt mound and grass sprouts.
  • The sentiment is from the SP and Company I Love Love stamp set. I stamped it in Melon Mambo classic ink from Stampin' UP.
  • I also used some Washi Tape to make a frame and two strips across my card.
  • The patterned paper is from Wild Rose Studio that I got at iCopic.com.
  • To make the nice corners, I used the EK Success Large Corner Rounder Punch.

Hello Friend Card

Hello everyone!! Sorry I was MIA yesterday, a killer migraine caught up with me unfortunately. I am feeling much better today. We have been having some crazy weather and so I think that triggered my migraine this time. I have only had two of them in the longest time and both were around freak weather conditions.

Here is a card I whipped up today!
Card Details:
  • The sentiment was made using the SP and Company Mini Card Creations II stamp set (used Early Espresso ink from Stampin' UP) and some Tiny Type stickers from Cosmo Cricket.
  • The little man is The Greeting Farm Edward that I got from iCopic.com.
  • I used the following Copic colors from iCopic.com
    • For the skin: E00, E000. E02
    • For the hair: E41, E43, E53
    • For the clothes and eyes: YG03, YG23, BG05, BG07, BG09
  • The aqua striped patterned paper is BRAND NEW from the Metropolitan Dots & Stripes 6X6inch paper pack. SO CUTE!!
  • The green patterned paper is one of my favorite patterned papers of all time, called Tree Tops. It is one of the papers from the Echo Park Walk in the Garden collection.
  • The base of my card is Crumb Cake (Kraft) cardstock from Stampin' UP.
  • The edges of the cardstock and patterned paper were inked with Soft Suede ink from Stampin' UP.
  • I added a little twine bow using some brown Divine Twine that I got from iCopic.com.
  • And I finished the card off with adhesive rhinestones (from Stampin' UP) that I colored with the Copic BG09! I love coloring my own rhinestones with my Copics!!

    Pool Play Layout

Hello everyone!!! TGIF!! This week has been very long, but very exciting for me. I have been watching the little sweetie all week long (I usually only get a few hours a week with her) so we have had lots of fun this week!

And today, I have another blast from the past layout! Today's project is yet again from the May SP Subscription Club Kit! You will get a break from all these kit projects this weekend because I have some other papers and supplies I want to share with you also.

This layout is of me when I was a little girl. In these photos I am playing in an inflatable pool with a childhood friend of mine.
    • All of the patterned papers and cardstock sticker elements came from the Echo Park Splash collection, which is part of the May SP Subscription Club Kit.
    • The background cardstock is Robin's Egg textured cardstock from American Crafts. I must say that I LOVE their textured cardstock!!! I just recently decided to order some and it is fabulous. I only stock three colors of it in the  SP and Company but it is so lovely. Very thick and beautifully textured.
    • The title was created with Thickers from American Crafts.
    • The layout of my page was inspired by a sketch from Julie Bonner. She makes some of the most beautiful sketches and sometimes I just browse her blog for the fun of it. It is definitely worth checking out and bookmarking.

    Beach Baby Layout

Hello everyone!! Happy Wednesday! Today's project is yet again from the May SP Subscription Club Kit! I hope you love the kit contents as much as I do! I just love all the blues and it definitely puts me in the mood for summer fun. And I also used one of my favorite new supplies, the Mini Mister!!

Here is the Beach Baby layout. This layout features a photo of my hubby when he was a baby. Wasn't he adorable?!
    Layout details:
    • All the patterned papers, cardstock sticker elements, and alphas are from the Echo Park Splash Collection kit, which is part of the May SP Subscription Club Kit.
    • I used the Mini Mister to spray Bermuda Bay dye ink (retired, Stampin' UP) and Copic refill V12 onto the background paper. I have one Mini Mister filled with each.
    • The happy circle element was made using the Round Sentiments I, which is also part of the SP Subscription Club Kit. I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink from Stampin' UP. Around the edge of the circle, I used a Copic marker from iCopic.com, BG45 and created an outline to make the element stand out.
    • I inked around the patterned paper with Rich Razzleberry ink and a sponge dauber.
    • Around some of the sticker elements, I used my black multiliner from iCopic.com.
    Challenges Entered:
    Pencil Lines Sketch 239

    Spectacular Beachy Card

Hello everyone!! Happy Tuesday to you!! Today is Use it Tuesday over at the iCopic blog and so today I am sharing one of my tricks that I used to make today's card. This card was also made using paper from the May SP Subscription Club Kit.

     Card details:
    • The main image is Mermaid Anya from The Greeting Farm that I got from iCopic.com.
    • To color the image in, I used the following Copic colors from iCopic.com: E0000, E000, E00, E02, BG70, BG71, YR68, YR07, YR16, E15, E18, and E29.
    • The sentiment was made using the SP and Company Mix 'N Match: Friends stamp set. This is one of my favorite stamp sets because I just love to make just because cards. These types of cards can be made for anybody at any time, no special occasion required. I make many more just because cards than I do for any other reason.
    • Around the main image, I used some Washi Tape to create the frame. This technique is shown in my video at the bottom of this post! It is such an easy and clever technique that really dresses up the project.
    • I also used Washi Tape to create the orange border strips on the card.
    • The patterned paper came from the Echo Park Splash collection that is part of the May SP Subscription Club Kit
    • The card base is Tangerine Tango cardstock.
    • And finally, the sentiment was stamped using Tangerine Tango ink.
This card was included in the following challenges:
And here is my video on using Washi Tape to create a frame. This is SP Episode 42. Enjoy!!

    Edward Thankful For You Card

    Hey there, folks!

You are in for a treat because this week is going to be jam packed full of projects using the May SP Subscription Club Kit!! I have had so much fun playing with this kit, and I have lots to share with you this week. This card is also intended for this week's iCopic Challenge! We are on challenge #31 this week and the challenge is advanced shadowing!

    Card details:
    • I created a shadow behind the cute Edward stamp from The Greeting Farm using the following Copic colors from iCopic.com: C0, C1, C2, C3, and C5. I tried to make it look like his shadow is going behind him.
    • These are the rest of the Copic colors I used from iCopic.com: B29, B39, E00, E000, E37, E49, E29, E41, E43, and I know I am forgetting one, but I wrote them down and my notebook is not with me right now LOL.
    • The sentiment is from the new SP and Company Round Sentiments I stamp set, which is part of the May SP Subscription Club Kit. This sentiment fits onto a 1.5inch Circle.
    • The patterned paper is one of my faves from the new Splash collection from Echo Park, which is part of the May SP Subscription Club Kit
    • The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink and the corduroy button is from Stampin' UP (now retired).
    • The card base is Marina Mist cardstock also from Stampin' UP.

    Rockin' Awesome Card

    Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Today, we will be out in the garden planting some flowers. I got some flowers and some huge flower pots for the new condo and I will be planting those and getting them ready to go. I hope you have had a wonderful weekend so far.

So today's project is a cool teen boy type card. I really like the way the green just jumps off the page.

    Card Details:
    • The teen boy image is one I got from iCopic.com. It is called I'm a Rock Star from Gillian F Robert's line from Stampavie. I just LOVE her images!!
    • I colored him in with the following Copic colors from iCopic.com:
      • For the skin: E00, E000
      • For the hair: E25, E23, E21, and E31
      • For the clothes: C0, C1, C5, C6, and C7
      • For the guitar and green accents: YG23, 03
      • For the strings on the guitar, I used the AtYouSpica #6 Melon
      • On the edges around the image, I used 100 which is Black.
    • The sentiment was made by a combo of stamps and sticker alphas. The sentiment stamps are from the SP and Company Mix 'N Match: Friends stamp set. I just love the Mix 'n Match stamps because they are just so versatile!
    • The U and R are stickers from Jillibean Soup. I outlined each letter with my Black Multiliner from iCopic.com.
    •  The polka dot paper is from one of my FAVORITE new paper packs!! It is from the Metropolitan Dots and Stripes collection that is new this month from Echo Park! The 6X6inch pad is available in the SP Store.
    • I also used some Black Cardstock and Lime Cardstock.
    • On the lime cardstock I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch from Stampin' UP.
    • I used my Large Corner Rounder Punch from EK Success.
I have entered this card into this week's Color Throwdown Challenge -Black, Grey, and Lime.

    Valentine's Present

Hey everyone!! Happy Saturday night! This post is totally random, but I just love it so I had to share.

I have been going through my blog archives and editing posts to get all everything categorized (did you know SP now has almost 2,000 blog posts!? Crazy huh) and came across this post that I saved as a draft in February!! Since the last couple of months of 2010, I have been babysitting a darling little girl, a toddler. I usually take care of her a couple of days a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. She has been such a darling and I love every minute I spend with her. I treat her how I would treat my own child, and spending time with her makes me even more excited to start our family someday.

So on Valentine's Day 2011, I was not scheduled to watch the little sweetie, but this wonderful gift arrived at my door. Her and her mom and dropped it off at my door!!

Isn't that such a beautiful gift?! Little sweetie is just such a craft loving girl too. We always do crafty things together and I was so proud of this work of art. It still hangs in my scrapbook nook :) I will cherish it.

    Vacay & Away Layouts

Hello there! Happy Saturday to you!! I have two layouts to share with you today. They are actually intended to be a two page spread, but they are not completely cohesive like a two page layout. They just really coordinate, and I put them next to eachother in my grandmother's scrapbook album.

All papers on both layouts, except for the lime dotted paper, are from DCWV. Both titles were made with Thickers from American Crafts.  I made both of these layouts super duper simple, but it took a lot to get the photos all trimmed and arranged for the collages.

On this second page, there were just SOOO many photos I wanted to squeeze in. . . it just left no room for the title, so I improvised by arranging the title directly on top of the photos.

    Beachy Happy Birthday Card

    Hello everyone!! Happy Friday!

How are you liking the condensed sidebar elements? I am trying my best to get it all finished up for you.

I am also in the middle of getting things ready to MOVE! This is really exciting news and I am so glad to finally be able to talk about it. My hubby and I are finally ready to get our own place. This will be our first place together, or living away from our parents. It is so exciting. We have been saving and planning and wishing and waiting and it is finally the right time. We found a lovely little condo in Knoxville, TN (we are in a small town near Knoxville right now). There are great walking trails and a lake. I just love it!! We move in the first week of July and so I am having fun planning out what furniture that we will be getting, and buying all the smaller things. The three huskies are staying with my mom, and the two smaller pups are going to move into the condo with us! Besides all those really exciting things, one of the two best parts about our new place is that our second bedroom is going to be solely my Scrapbook Studio! I am really excited to spread out again and have all the extra room for my "work". With all the extra scrappy space I can set up a video area, and have plenty of room for everything I need to do.

And second, we will be getting cable internet! That means more videos for you! Anyway, so I will have more details when it gets closer to time. There is still quite a few weeks to go!

In the meantime, I have a fun and simple project for today. This is my first project using the May SP Monthly Subscription Club Kit. Sign-ups are still going on, and if you would still like to receive the May Kit, there are a couple still available.

The May Kit contains the new SP and Company Round Sentiments I stamp set and Echo Park's new paper pack called Splash! I just love both of these and have lots of ideas running around in my head for how to use this Club Kit.

    Here is the card:
I stamped the sentiment inside the beach ball cardstock element with Stazon Ink. The cardstock stickers are a little glossy so I used the Stazon ink to make sure it wouldn't smear.

The base of the card is Rich Razzleberry cardstock.
