Made with Love Bear

Hey everyone! Today is my day to do the Tuesday Tips and Tricks section over at the iCopic Blog. Click here to see how I made this card from start to finish just based on the patterned paper I chose!

Card Details:
  •  I picked out this Wild Rose Studio patterned paper first and decided on the rest of the card just based on the patterned paper.
  • The stamped image is from Wild Rose Studio, called Millie Baking
  • The sentiment is a stamp from the SP and Company Round Sentiments I stamp set.
  • I used the following Copic colors to color in the bear: YG01, YG03, R81, R83, R85, E31, E35, E37, and E29.
  • For the finishing touches, I inked around the sentiment and the Millie image using the Tim Holtz Ink Applicator with some Blushing Bride ink (from Stampin' UP) to match.
  • The last step was adding a cute Wild Rose Studio brad to the center of the round sentiment.
  • I used the following cardstock colors from Stampin' UP: Pear Pizazz, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.

So I have decided to post our two weekly challenges in one post for you all. It just makes it so that you can see them both quickly. I love the weekly challenges and I think they are a great source of inspiration (and prizes too! LOL). Here goes!!

First, check out this week's iCopic Challenge (#45) Click here for complete details and to enter to win!

And secondly, here is this week's SP Color Combo Challenge (#115). Click here to play along with it!

So Spooky Boo! Card

Hello everyone! Today, I decided to show you a sneak peek of a stamp set to come!!

In September, we are going to be doing something special, and offering THREE of our stamp sets for purchase early!! I decided to go ahead and release them early because they are theme specific sets and I am sure people will want them earlier rather than later. So on September 1st, I will show you THREE new stamp sets!!  And then, during the September blog hop monthly release, you will get to see two more stamp sets!! That is a total of 5 stamp sets coming out in September! I couldn't be more excited about this and I think you are going to love it too :)

So here is my card with a sneaky peek:
Doesn't that sentiment look a lot like the Bold Sentiments Istamp set??? *hint hint*  Well, let me tell you, you are going to LOVE IT!

I just wanted to show ya this cute sentiment! The BOO was cut out from the Seasonal Cake Art cartridge (Martha Stewart Cartridge) using the Cricut.  The patterned paper is new from Echo Park's Apocethary Emporium 6X6 Paper Pad.

Thank U Sew Much Card

Hi everyone! I am so excited because the visitor counter reached 490,000 last night!!! EEEK! We are going to celebrate big with the 500,000 milestone! 500,000 is just unbelievable to me!

Today, I have another project for you using the August SP Subscription Club Kit. September sign ups are going on NOW and I have added a 6X6 subscription into the mix so be sure to check out the 4 wonderful kit options I offer.

Here's the card:
Card Details:
  • The cute sewing machine image is from the SP and Company Sewing Chic stamp set, which was part of the August club kit.
  • I used the coordinating Sewing Machine (Sewing Chic) SVG Cut File to first cut out the white cardstock and then I just stamped the image and colored it in. Remember, my stamps are CLEAR so it is easy to stamp the cardstock once it is perfectly cut with the SVG cut file and your die cutting machine! LOVE having the cuts done for me :) I do offer the SVG's for sale in a bundle for each stamp set so you can get all of the Sewing Chic SVG's all at once and save.
  • I colored in the image with the following Copics from iCopic.com: RV11, RV000, C1, C3.
  • The patterned paper and alpha stickers are both from the Echo Park Happy Days Echo Park Collection Kit, which was part of the August club kit.
  • The card base is Rose Red cardstock from Stampin' UP.

Hey everyone! I have my first official 5 Minute Card Video for you. Now, I must confess. . . it actually took me 7 minutes to make the card, but that is still really fast!

Anyway, so I have written out the supply list at the end of the video, and I also have it written out below my video. I don't have a still shot for you because I was making this video very last minute ( I was hoping my cough and voice would be better, but oh well!). I will try to get a still shot up at the end of the post in the next couple of days. **Still shot is added :)

Card Supplies:
  • SP and Company Sewing Chic stamp set
  • Candy Shoppe Dots & Stripes 6X6 Paper Pad ~~This is actually written wrong at the end of the video!
  • Melon Mambo Stampin' UP Ink
  • Early Espresso Stampin' UP Ink
  • Early Espresso Cardstock
  • Confetti Cream Cardstock from Papertrey Ink
  • Retired Chocolate Chip Ribbon from Stampin' UP

Missing You Hummingbird Card

Hey everyone! I have a sweet project to share with you that I created for my weekly segment over at the iCopic blog. Before we get started, I have two things that you should also check out:

Now, if you want to learn my coloring technique, then head over to the iCopic blog. Here, I am going to talk more about the other elements of the card.

Card Details:
  • The hummingbird image is from a retired Stampin' UP stamp set called Spring Song. It also contains an image of a bird that looks like my little canary, Bob, which is why I got the set in the first place LOL. If you watch my videos, you will know who Bob is!
  • The sentiment is from the now BACK IN STOCK set Bold Sentiments I.
  • As usual, my copic colors were inspired by the patterned paper I chose, which is from Wild Rose Studio.
  • The ribbon is Stampin' UP Peach Parfait ribbon.
  • I used the following Stampin' UP cardstocks: Peach Parfait and Tempting Turquoise.

Here are the colors I used:
For the hummingbird: BG07, BG11, BG32, YG13, YG17
For the flowers: YR000, YR82, RV83, RV85
For the leaves and stem: YG0000, YG00

Here is a close-up of my coloring:

Sew Special Card

Hey everyone! All week long, I am going to be sharing projects made using the August SP Subscription Club Kit. My kits contain beautiful products and are budget-friendly. I offer four different club options to choose from.

So the August SP Subscription Club Kit contained the new Echo Park Happy Days collection kit and the new SP and Company Sewing Chic stamp set. And here is what came out when I put the two together:
They just coordinate so well together!!

Card Details:
  • The large dressform image and sentiment were both stamped from the Sewing Chic stamp set.
  • This is the first time I have used one of the new SP Cut Files!! I used the Large Dressform (Sewing Chic) SVG File.  It was so easy to use. I just opened up the cut file in my design program (the program will vary from machine to machine, I happen to use Sure Cuts a Lot and my Cricut, but SCAL is no longer available for the Cricut) and then cut it out using white paper. Once I had my die cut, I just stamped it with the coordinating dressform stamp! SO EASY! I was trilled with it.
  • The patterned paper is from the Happy Days Echo Park Collection Kit. I really like the retro feel of this collection.
  • I used the following Stampin' UP cardstocks: Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo (I also used Melon Mambo ink for the dressform).

Workin' Workin' Workin'. . .

Hey everyone! My apologies for such a late post today. I have been playing catch up today and time sure has a way of getting away from me. So tonight I have a couple of videos for you, but before we get started with the good stuff, I have a couple of announcements and I want to tell you about some great stuff in the works here at SP.

Announcements:
  • DO NOT MISS the iCopic blog hop!! Seriously, folks, the prizes are just so big I can't even believe it!! Our grand prize is 24 Sketch Markers - a $167 value!! It just boggles my mind. So please enter to win! I am really hoping that one of my lovely readers can win some wonderful prizes! :)
  • The 6X6 Stamping Club is starting in September! I already have a couple of sign-ups but I need more! If you are a card maker who loves SP and Echo Park, this is the club for you! My club kits are priced well below retail value so that you can find a club that meets your budget. Click here for details.
  • I have updated the SP Color Combo Generator with the new Stampin' UP In Colors for 2011-2013!! Go check it out!! Seriously, I could spend hours playing with that neat little tool. If you ever need to find the Color Combo Generator, look under the "Other Resources" Tab in the right sidebar.
Now here is what I am working on:
  • Mark your calendars for September 25th!! For the entire week, I will be offering some amazing giveaways in celebration of reaching a huge milestone here at SP - we are reaching 500,000 visitors!! I never in my wildest dreams thought I would see the day, but it is fast approaching. So for a whole week, you will be able to enter to win prizes from SP and CO along with some of my favorite companies! I have sponsors lined up and ready to give away some spectacular prizes. I can't wait to be able to share.
  • Starting tomorrow, I will be sharing August kit club projects all week long. You are in for a treat!
  • Next week, I plan on having my first ever 5-minute card video for you! I had a great response to the new video series announcement and I am excited to get it started.
  • Lately, I have been working on a bunch of behind the scenes work. . . preparing for next month's stamp release, adding to the SVG cut file offerings in the SP store, designing new stamps, bringing in another fantastic paper company to add to the SP store, and starting on my first ever E-book! I will share more information as everything develops. I just want to let you know that great things are happening here!
  • Many have asked and I promise that soon I WILL do a scraproom tour video! I really will do it!
Whew, so enough jibber jabber! Let's look at some gorgeous new paper!!! In the following two videos, I offer an up close look at two of the new Echo Park paper lines:

All About Children Blog Hop -Final Stop

Hellooo! Welcome to the iCopic All About Children Blog Hop. You should be arriving here from Alyssa's blog, if not, please head back to the iCopic blog where our hop begins. I am your last stop on the blog hop, but you won't want to miss any of the beautiful projects along the way.

On the iCopic blog, you saw my cute little snowman card, and below, I have another project for you. This card is more teen-inspired than my other project.

This card features a lovely SP and Company sentiment from the Bold Sentiments I stamp set and a cute girl from The Greeting Farm, in a stamp set called Special Autumn.

I used the following Copics to color in my image: E00, E000, E01, E31, E33, E35, E37, E29, BG00, BG01, BG72, BG75, and BG78.

I drew all of my color inspiration from the patterned paper I used. All of the colors I chose for Copic coloring, and for the rest of my card were picked to match the patterned paper. Matching everything to your patterned paper is one of the easiest ways to end up with a perfectly coordinated, polished looking project.

So that concludes the blog hop! When you are done leaving me a comment below, make sure that you head back over to the iCopic blog and play along with our challenge.

There are TONS of amazing prizes up for grabs, including the last two that I am about to share with you!! As you know, I am the owner of SP and Company Stamps, and therefore, I want to offer up some lovely SP Stamps!! The winners of the SP stamps will be chosen at random, same rules apply for these prizes as the rest of the blog hop prizes.

Christmas Emma Stamp set

I can't wait to see what you make for the blog hop challenge!
