Introducing Greeting Cards for a Cause

Hi everyone!

Today, I would like to introduce you to my new store product, Greeting Cards for a Cause!

I am overrun with greeting cards I have made, so I wanted to sell them, and also raise money for some of my favorite charities. A major portion of the sales of my greeting cards will be sent to my favorite charities. The charity will change depending on what month it is (listed below).

January -March: St. Jude Children's Hospital
April -June: ASPCA
July -September: Oak Ridge Animal Shelter (in Tennessee), I have adopted three of our doggies from this shelter, and I have volunteered there in the past. I love this animal shelter. Our family donates items to their shelter still each year.
October -December: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

All About Me Project #1: Totally 100% Me Layout

Hi everyone!! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start! Mine is going to be super dee duper. My hubby and his father are going to the UT (Tennessee - Go VOLS!) Game today so I am going to take the pups and spend the day with my mom.

So something new due to the Email SP Daily option. My blog posts tend to be sooooooo long, not because I ramble a lot (sometimes I do!), but because I like to give y'all ALL the wonderful details on my projects so that you too can be a scrapmaster.  What I am going to do, is shorten the posts with the "jump break" feature. With this magical "jump break" you will be able to see more of any blog post by clicking one of these at the end of a post on the SP Blog:
(If you are reading this from your SP Daily email, then you will see "read more" at the end of the teaser). That way you will be able to see more projects at a glance on your SP Daily Email and on the SP Blog and then click over when you want more details about a project (when you click over, you will see the full blog post). I hope that this new way will be nice, but we shall see. . .

OK so on to today's project!! Today's project is the first of many All About Me layouts that I am going to be sharing. I used the October SP Monthly Kits for this one too.

Birdcage Just a Note Card

Hey there!  Happy Friday, folks!!  I have a quick announcement to share, and then we will get down to some crafty fun.

ANNOUNCEMENT!
My blog feed is *crossing fingers* back!!! I have had many folks beg and plead and sob over me not having an email subscription option for my blog. Well, if all goes well, it is back and ready for you to subscribe to it. All you have to do is enter your email in the box on the right under Get SP Daily in your Inbox or Click here to subscribe now! Then my newsfeed will be delivered to your inbox daily! YAY!

So let's move on to today's project. Details are below.
Today's project is super quick and easy. I played around with the October SP Subscription kit and this popped out! I used some Echo Park Times & Seasons Collection Kit along with my new Just a Note Stamp Set from SP and Company. I have had so much fun playing with this month's kit. Can you believe I have even more projects to share with you after this week?? These kits are so BIG and lovely, I really do hope that you will join the club! Click here to read more about the fun of the SP Subscription Clubs.

I added a cute little birdcage image from the Imagine Lori's Garden cartridge (cut out a LONG time ago, when my Imagine was still calibrating properly, but that is a WHOLE other story that we won't get into right now).

I finished the card off with a pretty little knot using some Linen saddle stitch ribbon from Papertrey Ink.

New Scraproom Tour Video

Hi everyone!! I am so excited to finally share my new scraproom with you! This is the first time I have had a scraproom ALL to myself. I have either had to share a room with my hubby's office/school work area or either squished into another room in the house. Now that we are living in our own place, I got to take over the spare bedroom!

This video took so long for me to make because I wanted to get everything juuuuuuuust right before I shared it with you. Although we have been living here for a few months now, I still love to just walk into my scraproom and look around :)

Here it is:

Today I have another bonus project for you. Do you like having a bonus project here at SP?

Here is my second SP Creative Kits up for sale this holiday season. The sentiment on this card could easily be switched out to make a more generic "happy holidays" type card, rather than just a strictly Christmas card. This set comes with most of the basic supplies you will need to make 10 of these cards, including detailed instructions. I used the Christmas Medley Stamp Set, which is included in the kit if you so choose.

I am sad to have to tell you this, but Emily is no longer going to be with us here at SP. :( I am so sad to see her leaving the team. She and I have been friends for so long and it has been great having her as part of the team. She's going to be missed!

Note of Appreciation Apple Card

Hey everyone!! I hope your week is off to a great start. Mine has been pretty good and I think I am FINALLY starting to feel normal again after this nasty cold bug. Hope you are staying healthy this season.

I actually have more kit projects to share with you than I thought, so I am going to show you kit projects most of the week and then underneath the projects, I will talk a little about a new creative kit! Ok, let's get started!!

This little apple card was made using the October SP Subscription Club Kit.
Well, I just love everything about this adorable card! The patterned papers in the Times and Seasons collection are so beautiful and I am so glad to have them in the kit with the adorable Just a note stamps!!

Here is a video of how I made this apple card:

Card Details:
  • The green polka dot paper is from the Echo Park Dots and Stripes Metropolitan collection, called Leaf Small Dots.
  • The other green patterned paper and the blue patterned paper are both part of the Echo Park Times & Seasons Collection Kit, which was part of this months SP Subscription Club Kit.
  • The sentiment is from the new SP and Company Just a Note Stamp Set , which was also a part of this months kit.
  • The card and all the layers were cut out at 5.5inches using the Cricut Wrap It Up cartridge. I had the real dial size button OFF so that the layers would cut out in proportion to the card layer.
  • Other supplies used include: Stampin' Dimensionals, Xacto blade, Kiwi Kiss cardstock, Chocolate Chip cardstock, and Early Espresso ink.

For the bonus project, I am showing off the first of many SP Creative Kits to come! I love teaching and helping others to get their creativity flowing and so I wanted to offer some Christmas kits for this season. This one features the adorable SP and Company Christmas Medley Stamp Set. The kit for this card includes detailed instructions and most of the supplies to make 10 of these adorable cards (minus your adhesives, scissors, inks, and coloring tools). I have included two kit options, one WITH the Christmas Medley stamp set, and one WITHOUT the Christmas Medley stamp set -yes, I thought of those of you who already purchased the stamp set :)

This Week's Challenge and Looking Ahead

Hey everyone! I hope your Monday is off to a great start. Today, I just want to share this week's challenges with you and talk about this week's schedule.

Earlier in the week, I am going to be sharing some SP Creative Kit projects with you. I am offering a few Creative Kits available in the SP Store for Christmas projects. I have put together some great creative card kits to help you with your Christmas cards. The kits include pretty much everything needed to create 10 cards and step by step instructions!  I will also be offering some Creative Kits that include a variety of coordinating supplies and don't come with project examples or instructions.

And later in the week, I am going to be sharing some October SP Subscription Club Kit projects with you.

Also somewhere in the middle of all that, I have a SCRAPROOM VIDEO for you!! I know y'all have been waiting for it and it is finally here!! Be watching for it :)

That pretty much sums up this week at SP! Your challenges are below. I hope they inspire you to get creative. I'll see you back here tomorrow with a new project to share.
